Study Founds That The Youth Suicide Rates Are High In Those States Which Has High Gun Ownership
The percentage of suicides in the USA has reached its peak, and it’s been found that those States which has higher gun ownership also has a higher number of the suicide rate. The researchers of this study found that there’s an indirect connection between the number of suicides happening in the United States and the gun ownership laws in it. Because in the ten states which have the highest number of suicide rates have the common gun ownership of 52.5 percent. On the other 10 States which has a lower number of suicide rates have the common gun ownership of 20 per cent only. The one thing is clear from this study is that gun ownership is causing more problems in the USA also people are not even aware of it. Kansas where more than 43 percent of household own the gun, it ranks at 15 in the highest suicide rate list. On the other hand, more than 44% of ordinary families living in Missouri own a gun, and it ranks at 24 in the highest suicide rate list.
Researchers think that many people go through the hard phase of their life and there are very few people who take their rage or anger on themselves or any other persons and at that time the gun ownership plays a vital role in it. Researchers think that there needs to gun access prevention because according to experts guns shall be locked away, and parents shall not give access of their firearms to children. There are many state laws which require gun owners to keep their guns away from small children.
Even though there are tons of state laws in the USA many of them don’t have any clauses regarding criminal liabilities. There need to be more strict laws and awareness among the gun owners about the usability of guns.
